Three Quotes, Three Days Challenge: Day Three

Hey everyone!

It’s been a few days since I posted my second quote for the three days three quotes challenge. I have been busy with work and the last of my midterms (thank goodness!) but I’m finally finishing the challenge with the quote I have chosen for day three!

“Every day may not be good but there is something good in every day.”

The last week has been a bit stressful and there were a few days where things did not go as well as I had hoped. In those moments, I felt annoyance and frustration and it seemed to be one thing after another would go wrong. The last few days have been much better than earlier last week and upon reflection, I was reminded that life is a blend of good and bad days; that it is full of ups and downs and we are responsible for how we react to the situations we are faced with. It’s perfectly normal and acceptable to have bad days and to feel upset, but the key is not to dwell on those feelings and to instead, attempt to search for the good.

My dad has always been an advocate for this kind of thinking and I have always admired him for that. I know he has had bad days but I have never seen him dwell on the negativity. He always strives to look for the good in a bad situation and is open to the lessons it can teach you. He always seems able to move forward with a positive perspective.

I try to follow my dad’s example as often as I can, but there are definitely times where I don’t make the effort to find positivity in an an unfavourable situation and the rest of the day is ruled by that negativity. I have found however, that when I choose to find the good in an unfavourable situation, my whole perspective changes and I am able to approach the rest of the day with a better attitude. It’s not always easy to do this, but it is definitely worth the effort.

Each day of our lives may not be as wonderful as we’d like it to be, but there is usually something wonderful to experience and be grateful for. We just have to be willing to find and appreciate the good in every situation no matter how bad it may seem because that is how we are able to get through our worst days.

I hope you enjoyed my last post for this challenge! Today I am nominating these awesome bloggers…
