I can’t believe that October is over and we are already three days into November! Time has really flown by it seems and I’m sure November will pass by as quickly as October did.
This month, I decided to start a new writing/reflection challenge to share with you. It’s called the 52 Weeks of Gratitude Challenge. I came across this challenge on Pinterest when I was looking for journal prompt ideas. Esther and Jacob over at Local Adventurer created this challenge and reading about their journey through it was really inspiring!
So why do I want to start this challenge?
The obvious answer is that reflecting on gratitude is a positive and important exercise that should be done frequently (in this case weekly). While I’m not the most grateful person I know, I do try to reflect on, and express gratitude as often as I can. However, there are definitely times when I don’t receive things with as much gratitude as I should. I instead choose to complain over feeling thankful and that needs to change.
With the holiday season rapidly approaching, I thought it would be a great time to start this challenge! I feel that I will be able to express my gratitude more often and consider everything that there is to be thankful for! I hope to learn to complain less and to be more conscious about perpetuating a positive and grateful attitude.
I’m excited to begin this year-long journey and to see how my life changes by practicing gratitude regularly!
