We got a little bit of snow last night here in Ontario and I was actually really excited about it! We had just finished a dinner get-together with one of my wonderful friends and her boyfriend and she had texted me to let me know that it was snowing after they had left. I immediately jumped up and went to the window and called Danny over to join me. We were both acting like little kids, excited to see the snow fall and exclaiming about how pretty it looked outside. With all that in mind, I think it’s safe to say that I feel pretty good about the coming cold weather and snow.
My favourite season is fall, which I have mentioned in a couple of posts before, but my second favourite season is definitely winter. I love seeing the trees covered in snow, walking through parks and down the streets during a gentle snow fall while looking at Christmas lights. I love getting cozy at home with a hot drink and a warm blanket and a good book or a movie on a cold winter’s night. Everything looks so pretty and bright outside when the snow falls and sticks to everything.
Despite all of the beauty of the winter months, I will say that winter driving does make me nervous and it’s not always fun to shovel or to have to scrape and brush off the car early in the morning. But I still love the season!
What are your thoughts about the colder weather and the snow (if there is any where you live)? Do you enjoy winter? What are some of the reasons you like or dislike this season?
I hope everyone had a great start to their week!
Thanks for reading,
