Thankful Thursday: The City You Live In

Hello everyone!

I realized that last week’s gratitude topic was actually supposed to be this week’s topic. I was so confident that last week’s post was supposed to be about a friend but that was meant for this week. So this week I will be writing about the city I live in! Next time I’ll be sure to double check the list so I don’t confuse myself again, ha!

I just moved to Stratford this past summer after Danny and I got married. I have loved living here for the past 5 months. It’s a pretty small town which is quite a change from where I used to live. I love the small town feel and it’s nice to always see familiar faces around almost every part of town!

Stratford is a really pretty city. There are quite a few parks and gardens around the downtown area and the Avon river which are really nice to walk through. There are lots of old buildings to see as you walk downtown and there are many unique shops and restaurants. I love walking along the river or downtown and looking at everything.

During the spring and summer months, Stratford runs a play festival that attracts lots of tourists! There are four theatres that put on various productions throughout the festival season. There is always something fun to do in town, especially during the summer months.

I don’t know a lot about the city yet and I haven’t been here very long, but I really feel that it is a great place to live. I instantly felt at home here when I moved and I have loved being here ever since. I’m very thankful to live in such a wonderful city!

Thanks for reading,

Sydney
