Thankful Thursday: Summer Lovin’

Ah summer, what isn’t there to love about it?  The warm air, sunshine, swimming pools, camping, flourishing plants, beach trips, ice cream…there are so many things about summer that are great.

This week has been the first official week of spring (although right now it is pretty cold once again)  and summer is still quite a while away. However, I am definitely looking forward to it! I love spring as well, so let’s not neglect the beauty of spring flowers, clean air, budding trees, and mild temperatures (not too cold and not too hot). Spring is wonderful too!

As usual, I am using this type of post as an excuse to make yet another list (are you sick of reading my lists yet?), so without further ado, here is my list of reasons to love the summer season!

1.) Summer sunsets

2.) The warm air

3.) Going to the beach

4.) Sipping on coffee and reading outside in the sun

5.) Celebrating with Danny for our wedding anniversary: this July will be our first anniversary already and it’s something we will get to look forward to every summer now

6.) Eating ice cream more often than normal….probably too often if I’m honest but who cares?

7.) Going for early morning or late night walks

8.) Walking through the parks and gardens in Stratford

9.) Swimming

10.) Watching thunderstorms

11.) Going fishing with Danny

12.) Celebrating birthdays: a lot of my friends and family have birthdays in the summer so there’s usually something planned for those days

Those are just a few things I love about the summer months! I’m looking forward to some warmer weather and writing this list definitely put me in a good, hopeful mood!

What do you love about summer? I’d love to hear your thoughts!

Thanks for reading,
