Everyone has down days. Everyone experiences being in a bad mood, having bad thoughts, replaying bad memories all of which force you into a downward spiral of negative feelings which can sometimes feel impossible to get out of. I have definitely been there, especially over the last few weeks (winter blues anyone?)
But fear not, because there are so many things that you can do to lift your spirits and turn your day around. It’s just about choosing what you want the rest of the day to look like. We always have a choice between being happy, positive and grateful, or being miserable, sad, and angry. I firmly believe that it is much better to choose happiness and I’m sure many of you would agree. Even if you need 5 minutes, a half hour, or a couple of hours to feel upset, it’s always better to then try something to generate positivity.
I have a list of things that help me improve my mood on crappy days and I thought I would share it with you in the hope that it will bring some joy to your day too.
